I'm sure many who start at Steemit like me will be asking the same question. When I began to inquire about the operation of Steem and how to increase my vote level, as well as followers and positive votes, one of the recommendations I found in post and YouTube videos was that one of the best things I could do was to subscribe to several trails.
Having read this, I proceeded to enter SteemAuto and create an account, once this was done I joined several trails (of the most prominent), giving them the right to vote for me.
But, what is actually a Trail?
@jossduarte says in a post that Trail comes from the English Camino / Ruta, and is not more than that; A Trail is the path or route of votes left by a user in Steemit which other users can follow. With what purpose? Generate SP (Steem Power) and collaborate in the healing of the Post.

But now we go to the point, the issue that concerns us without are profitable or not, and reality pure and hard for me is that the landscape is not as beautiful as they paint it, despite being on eight trails of the most popular, and to be posting original content, I am not receiving the votes or the rewards promised by some authors.
To be true to the truth I must say that my number of followers has increased in minimum amount during this period, but I can not assure a hundred percent that it is due exclusively to my belonging to the trails.
The truth is that the creators of the trails have been benefiting a lot from the accounts of small fish as is my case, and in return we have been receiving crumbs, so I will try to find other methods that allow me to increase the power of my account and the profits.
